Fifteen years designing for digital, print, and brand — in-house and freelance. These days I also use AI to build the things that used to need a developer.
A few recent projects where I used Claude.ai to take the work past design. Live sites and tools, in use today.
Custom tools, interactive sites, real backend. The stuff I used to hand off or skip.
Claude.ai handles the engineering side, so projects that used to need a developer (or used to need me banging my head against a wall for a week) now run solo. All three below: one day each.
Marketing site for a Chicago-area general contractor — service pages, filterable project gallery, reviews, service area map. Mobile-first, in production.
Internal tool that spits out branded PDF quotes in minutes, replacing a paper process. Shipped with the main site.
Inventory for letterpress studios. Log moveable type by typeface and point size, paste your copy, see what your case can't cover (highlighted in red).
Work across national consumer brands, higher-ed marketing, healthcare, and local businesses — campaigns, identity, WordPress, packaging, email, motion.
Design across higher-ed partners — GW, USC Marshall, Purdue, the University of Florida. Lifecycle email systems, coded landing pages, and display creative running across institutional brands at once.
Custom WordPress site for a local photographer, later refactored into a Divi child theme that now sells across marketplaces.
Freelance work for Formic, an industrial automation company — a sales sheet on their existing system, plus a six-year tour shirt marking the new 50,000 sq ft Bolingbrook HQ.
Years of work across web, holiday email, print catalogs, and packaging for a national consumer brand. Summer Sale campaign system, Holiday Edition email identity that moved real numbers, the FreezyFun start guide.
Brand, WordPress site, and on-scene photography for an athletic training startup. Ongoing partnership that's scaled through franchising.
iPad edition of Hy-Vee's weekly seafood circular, built in InDesign + Adobe DPS. Sampling-time overlays, embedded recipes, and how-to video layered onto the existing print piece.
Two motion graphic campaigns — Veridian Credit Union and Texas Future. Storyboarded, illustrated in Illustrator, animated in After Effects, delivered to broadcast spec.
WordPress site for a healthcare client, built in Divi with interactive dropdowns and Google Maps, through agency feedback rounds.
A personal project — monogram and animal marks, letterpress invitations on French Paper Co. stock, wax seals, laser-cut day-of signage.
I'm a graphic designer in Chicago, fifteen years into it across in-house and freelance work. Mostly digital — websites, WordPress, campaigns, UI — but also print, brand, and motion, for clients that range from national consumer brands to local shops.
For the past while I've been using Claude.ai to cover the development side of web projects — the stuff that used to mean hiring a dev. It means I can take a project from concept to a working live site on my own, which is what most clients want anyway: one person who owns the whole thing.
Good design solves a problem. That's been the same job whether the answer was a print campaign, a WordPress site, or a custom tool.
Open to freelance projects and in-house roles — WordPress sites, digital campaigns, brand, print, or anything that needs both a designer and a builder.
